Tweedmouth

The estuary of the River Tweed is an internationally important wildlife site noted for the range of habitats which it supports. Sandstell Point, at the mouth of the estuary, is a wide spit of clean mobile sand which is subject both to wave action and the scouring action of the outflowing river.
